Product Description
York International Corporation (York, Pennsylvania — historically York Manufacturing Company / York Shipley / York Heating & Air Conditioning; today part of Johnson Controls) was through the 20th century a leading U.S. manufacturer of commercial chillers, industrial refrigeration compressors and systems, central-station air handlers, rooftop HVAC packages, and integrated commercial and industrial cooling installations. York equipment was specified across commercial buildings, food-processing plants, cold-storage warehouses, dairy and brewery refrigeration, ice rinks, and ammonia industrial refrigeration installations.
Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that York chillers, refrigeration compressors, and HVAC equipment were specified with asbestos-containing materials including pipe insulation, casing gaskets, motor insulation, and asbestos-cork composite refrigeration insulation for low-temperature applications.
York International has been named as a Manufacturer Defendant in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation.

If You Worked With York Refrigeration or HVAC Equipment
If you installed, serviced, or maintained York chillers, ammonia refrigeration systems, air handlers, or HVAC equipment during the asbestos era — including in industrial refrigeration, cold-storage, food-processing, or ice-rink applications — and have since been diagnosed with mesothelioma, asbestosis, lung cancer, or another asbestos-related illness, you may have legal rights.
