Product Description

Wagner Electric Corporation (historically headquartered St. Louis MO; brake friction operations later distributed across Federal-Mogul), Thermoid Rubber Company (Trenton NJ), and Molded Brake Products manufactured through the asbestos era asbestos-containing aftermarket brake linings, brake shoes, brake pads, and clutch facings sold through independent aftermarket parts distributors, dealer service departments, and consumer retail channels.

Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that Wagner, Thermoid, and Molded Brake Products aftermarket brake friction contained chrysotile asbestos through the documented production era and that brake mechanics, automotive technicians, and DIY consumers who replaced, sanded, or worked in proximity to these branded aftermarket brake products were exposed to airborne asbestos.

Wagner Electric / Thermoid Rubber / Molded Brake Products has been named as a Manufacturer Defendant in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation.
