Product Description
Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that Sturtevant Mill Company — a long-standing Boston-area supplier of pulverizers, ring-roll mills, and air classifiers to U.S. cement plants — furnished grinding equipment whose shaft seals allegedly used asbestos rope packing, and whose mill bodies allegedly carried asbestos-fabric external lagging to limit radiant heat and dust escape.
According to publicly filed asbestos litigation records, the packing was allegedly cut to length and repacked during scheduled outages, and the lagging was allegedly removed and re-applied during mill-body inspections.
