Sterling Fluid Systems USA manufactures and distributes industrial pumps under multiple brand names including Peerless Pump, Indian Head Pump, and Northern Pump (Division of McNally Industries). Through the asbestos era, Sterling-brand pumps were installed across U.S. electric utility power plants, petroleum refineries, chemical plants, paper mills, naval shipyards and Navy vessels, federal facilities, and a broad range of U.S. industrial worksites.
Sterling Fluid Systems and the predecessor Peerless / Indian Head / Northern brands have been named as corporate defendants in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation as Product Manufacturer Defendants in OBLF Missouri and Illinois petitions.
