Product Description
Nicolet Industries, Inc. (Ambler, Pennsylvania) — successor corporate identity to Keasbey & Mattison Company, one of the historic foundational U.S. asbestos manufacturers dating to the 1880s — manufactured through the 20th century asbestos pipe covering, asbestos-cement pipe, and brake friction products sold nationally. Keasbey & Mattison’s Ambler PA campus was historically one of the largest concentrated asbestos manufacturing sites in the United States and remains a federally-designated Superfund site.
Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that Nicolet/K&M asbestos pipe covering, asbestos-cement pipe, and brake products contained chrysotile and amphibole asbestos through the documented production era and that workers who installed, cut, machined, or removed these products released respirable asbestos fibers.
Nicolet Industries / Keasbey & Mattison has been named as a Manufacturer Defendant in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation.
