Product Description

National Service Industries, Inc. (NSI — founded 1928, historically headquartered Atlanta GA) manufactured through the 20th century a broad line of industrial products including asbestos industrial textiles, welding blankets, fire blankets, asbestos safety cloth, and industrial laundry products. NSI’s asbestos textile products were used across U.S. industrial welding operations, refinery hot-work, shipyard welding, boilermaking, and industrial-safety applications.

Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that NSI asbestos industrial textiles contained chrysotile asbestos through the documented production era and that industrial workers, welders, insulators, and refinery workers who handled, used, cut, or worked in proximity to NSI asbestos textiles were exposed to airborne asbestos fibers.

National Service Industries has been named as a Manufacturer Defendant in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation.
