Product Description
Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that Kennedy Van Saun (KVS) Manufacturing Corporation — a Pennsylvania builder of rotary kilns and cement plant grinding equipment — supplied kilns whose riding-ring assemblies allegedly used asbestos-fabric gaskets and shim material between the ring and shell, and whose drive-end feed hoods allegedly used asbestos-cement seals against the rotating shell.
According to publicly filed asbestos litigation records, these gaskets and seals allegedly deteriorated under kiln shell heat and had to be cut out and re-fitted during scheduled maintenance windows.
