Grinnell Corporation is a major U.S. manufacturer of fire protection sprinkler systems, fire-protection piping, valves, fittings, and related industrial fire-protection equipment. Founded in 1850 as a sprinkler manufacturer, Grinnell grew into one of the largest U.S. suppliers of fire-protection equipment for commercial, industrial, government, military, and institutional facilities. Grinnell products have been installed at virtually every category of U.S. industrial and commercial facility throughout the 20th century.
Per publicly filed U.S. asbestos litigation, Grinnell Corporation has been named as a corporate defendant in numerous asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death actions. The case Bill Glass v.
