Product Description
General Motors (see also the General Motors premises page for GM manufacturing plant premises coverage) allegedly installed through the asbestos era OEM asbestos brake linings, brake pads, brake shoes, and clutch facings as original equipment on all GM-brand vehicles including Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, GMC, and Saturn passenger cars, trucks, and vehicles. GM’s captive Delco-Moraine Division (later Delphi Automotive) manufactured much of the OEM friction material used on GM vehicles.
Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that GM OEM brake and clutch friction products contained chrysotile asbestos through the documented era and that brake mechanics, automotive technicians, GM dealership service workers, and DIY consumers who serviced OEM brake friction on GM-brand vehicles were exposed to airborne asbestos.
General Motors has been named as a Manufacturer Defendant in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation for OEM brake friction product liability.
Workers Exposed

If You Worked With GM OEM Brake Friction
If you replaced, sanded, or worked in proximity to Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, or GMC OEM asbestos brake linings, brake pads, brake shoes, or clutch facings during the asbestos era — and have since been diagnosed with mesothelioma, asbestosis, lung cancer, or another asbestos-related illness — you may have legal rights.
