Product Description

According to publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation records, Detroit Stoker Company allegedly supplied asbestos-fabric expansion joints, flue-duct gaskets, wind-box seals, and stoker-grate gaskets used on reheat furnace off-gas ductwork, boiler flue and breeching runs, and stoker-fired industrial boiler installations. Plaintiffs allegedly identified Detroit Stoker product shipments as a source of occupational asbestos exposure during installation, replacement, and tear-out of duct seals.

Litigation records allegedly describe asbestos fabric used as the sealing element in high-temperature expansion joints and flanged duct connections, released as respirable dust when workers cut cloth to length, wrapped and bolted flanges, and stripped weathered joint material during maintenance shutdowns.
