Product Description

Crane Co. hydronic cast iron radiator systems were allegedly installed with asbestos fabric lagging wrapped over the supply header take-off elbows and shutoff valve bodies, asbestos rope stem packing inside the radiator supply valve, and asbestos-containing gasket sheet at union joints between the radiator and riser. According to publicly filed asbestos litigation records, hydronic heating installers and steam-fitters cut and reseated valve stem packing, tore off worn header lagging when swapping out radiators, and hand-fitted gasket sheet at union connections, allegedly generating airborne fibers in occupied apartment buildings, schools, and hospitals.
