Product Description
Chrysler Corporation (see also the Chrysler Corporation premises page for Chrysler manufacturing plant premises coverage) allegedly installed through the asbestos era OEM asbestos brake linings, brake pads, brake shoes, and clutch facings as original equipment on Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge, and Jeep brand passenger cars, trucks, and vehicles. Chrysler OEM brake friction was supplied to Chrysler by Bendix, Abex, Raybestos-Manhattan, and other U.S. friction manufacturers.
Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that Chrysler OEM brake and clutch friction products contained chrysotile asbestos through the documented era and that brake mechanics, automotive technicians, Chrysler dealership service workers, and DIY consumers who serviced OEM brake friction on Chrysler-brand vehicles were exposed to airborne asbestos.
Chrysler Corporation / Stellantis has been named as a Manufacturer Defendant in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation for OEM brake friction product liability.
