Bird Incorporated (Bird & Son Inc.) was a major U.S. manufacturer of asbestos-bearing roofing paper, asbestos roofing shingles, asbestos roll roofing, asbestos-bearing siding, and related building products from approximately the 1920s through the late 1970s. Bird products were widely installed across U.S. residential, commercial, and industrial construction throughout the asbestos era.
Bird Incorporated has been named as a corporate defendant in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation, including cases under the case caption “v. Bird, Inc.” in MO state court and other venues.
