Product Description

Azrock Industries, Inc. (San Antonio, Texas — a subsidiary of Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company) manufactured through the asbestos era a major U.S. line of vinyl-asbestos floor tile and asphalt floor tile widely specified in commercial, institutional, and residential construction. Azrock 9-inch and 12-inch tile was an industry standard alongside Kentile, Armstrong Excelon, Congoleum, and other major lines.

Plaintiffs alleged in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation that Azrock floor tile contained chrysotile asbestos throughout the documented production era and that workers who installed, sanded, scraped, or removed Azrock floor tile released respirable asbestos fibers as a foreseeable consequence of the product design.

Azrock Industries has been named as a Manufacturer Defendant in publicly filed U.S. asbestos personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation.
